I'm all too familiar with the feeling that movies are getting longer and longer. Especially now with a toddler, we prefer shorter movies, but they're not even that easy to find these days.

To get to the bottom of this anecdotal evidence, @matt has pulled the top 50 of each decade – from the 1970s to 2020s – from Letterbox and analyzed the playing time of the films.

A few tech wild takes that have been on my mind lately:

• I want Apple to buy Kagi and create a privacy-first search engine (I doubt it’ll happen, Google pays them too much)
• I can only access the Threads timeline, but from what I see, it has the content I’m the most into
• Instagram has probably simultaneously the best and the worst ads
• The PlayStation Portal makes no sense and is mainly loved by fanboys who participate in console wars

@cliophate I agree with you said. However, Playstation Portal certainly has a valid use case, e.g. if you can't access the TV in a family context.

It's very funny to me that I ordered my Analogue Pocket in January, got it in like September, and it feels like every week since then they've announced a new, cooler colorway that makes mine look boring 😂

Anybody out there have a HomeKit-enabled indoor security camera they like and would recommend?

My needs are very basic, and this will live in my garage. I'd prefer one I can plug in since I will have an outlet nearby, but battery power-only isn't a deal-breaker.
