I'm going to confess something I probably shouldn't have done when I was in high school. As some of you have doubtless heard, I had a brailleNote Apex that I absolutely hated. I've talked about the freezing, but the display wasn't comfortable either. It was, for lack of a better word, sharp. Well, I found the place in the storage system where all of the manual files were stored for the user guide, and I found out how to edit them. The following text was therefore mysteriously appended to the Braille display care section. Warning! For your own safety, please do not use Braille display sharpeners. Frankly all of that is getting hard to take, my challenge to every single one of you is to look around you, find something uplifting that could help people, and share that instead. I may get bashed to bits for what I’m about to say, but I frankly don’t give a crap anymore. My Facebook timeline has been full lately of people being very judgmental and horrible towards others in the name of their religion, and they say it makes the rest of us uncomfortable because they’re mentioning Jesus and because we’re possessed by something demonic. You folks know me we know that I do not get up and run whenever someone mentions Jesus. I do get up and run when people start judging other people for no good reason. Look in the mirror and tell me if you’re absolutely perfect. No? Well then, don’t judge anybody else.

Let me tell you guys something to do that doesn’t sound like it would be fun, but it’s kind of awesome. If you have one of those wax melt warmers, especially the ones that don’t operate with the lightbulb, turn it off and stick your fingers in the wax for a second and then pull them out. You won’t hurt your hand unless you’re stupid and leave it submerged for ages. What will happen is that some of the wax will stick to your fingers and harden the second you pull your hand out, and it feels funny. If yours gets super hot though, just don’t do it. Mine doesn’t get hot enough to hurt you unless you’re stupid and plop your hand in it for five minutes.

So I have recently learned how to make oatmeal. It’s still the microwave, but it’s just one more thing I can use to feed myself. If I am dependent on a microwave, crockpot, and air fryer for the rest of my life, that’s fine with me. Less potential for open flame.
