About to go to sleep. Just finished attending a one hour zoom webinar with origami master Robert Lang. It was so late because it was hosted in Vietnam. But great fun! And lots of mind whirring as I was connecting my new craft hobby of knitting to him talking about origami.

@knitting Finished my shawl project for my Oregon State Fair entry! It has a wingspan of 68 inches and a height (center top to center bottom) of 37.5 inches. 700+ yards of cashmere-silk blend, the original pattern was for a 198 yard shawlette but I just kept going. I think I’ll call it “summer leaves”.

A large hand knit pale green lace triangle shawl is pinned down to a multicolored carpet, with a woman’s feet bracketing the point.

@FrannaCotta thanks! I think this pattern is from a Tuttle pack I had to use in groups. One thing I like to do once I fold a new pattern is make a smaller version- how small can it go? My daughter and I at on point had pinky nail sized cranes.

BTW - the monotile dress is amazing!

The prompt this week for was nodes.

I went with the nodes on horsetail - a relative of the fern - Ancient Grass

No comments - just stream of conscious code until it worked.

Had another person make a small change to one of my creative coding sketches and mint it as an NFT

They credited me, which somehow makes it worse because it links me to their scams

I used an MIT license because I've learned from others and wanted to share. But now I'm wondering if there are other licenses out there that could restrict the code's use in NFT's or for AI training

I'm under no illusions that scammers would respect the license, but want to state my preference with a license

Math peeps - I am trying to find a curve that is a curved teardrop - is there a name for this? I am working on a math birb and hoping this will work as an approach for this illustration. I am hoping the curve has a name.

Any help will be appreciated.
