@Schrank @packagist Adding DEV-dependencies via composer is probably the most misused use of a dependency manager...

I mean... those development tools are not really dependencies of your project...

@naderman But my project can easily run without them.

And I can also write code without those tools.

So my project does not depend on them.

PHPUnit, PHPStan etc are development tools like my editor or my computer.

But dev-dependencies currently tie my code to these tools. And I might not be able to update (parts of) my project because of a tool.

My son's grade 6 teacher is leaning full tilt into the "embarrass you in front of the class for benign requests/mistakes" method of authoritarian .

I'm caught between wanting to call her out on it, vs, not wanting to make things worse for him since she seems like the retaliatory type. And there's only 1 month left in the school year.

Sigh.

Will there be not? Keep your own (and your sons) sanity. Use it as a learning opportunity for your son that teachers can be assholes too.

Been there, done it, didn't get a t-shirt....

Both kids learned a lot from such teachers. Just not what they thought....

75 Jahre Grundgesetz. Es ist schon eine ziemlich gute Verfassung, keine Frage.

Nur schlimm, dass es erst 12 Jahre faschistischer Diktatur und tatkräftige Unterstützung durch die Alliierten gebraucht hat, um unserem Land diese Verfassung zu geben.

Noch schlimmer, dass eben dieser Faschismus aktuell wieder sein hässliches Haupt erhebt und die politische Debatte bis weit in die "demokratische Mitte hinein" vergiftet.

Wir sind alle aufgerufen, uns klar dagegenzustellen, wann immer

Was mich an Digitalisierung (whatever that means) massiv stört:
Ich brauche länger, um jemandem zu erklären, dass ein geplantes Verfahren zu großem Teil eine ABM ist und wesentlich effizienter gelöst werden könnte, als das Verfahren einfach stumpf mitzumachen und nicht zusätzlich nachher noch als "schwierig" dazustehen.

Kennt ihr sowas auch oder stelle ich mich nur an? 🤔
Was macht ihr in solchen Fällen?
