Wir brauchen keine härteren Strafen. Wir haben ein Strafgesetzbuch.

Wir brauchen eine funktionierende Polizei, Staatsanwaltschaft und Gerichtsbarkeit.

Oftmals werden solche Verfahren eingestellt.
Geringfügigkeit, Unzumutbare Dauer der Prozesse, oder einfach Überlastung.

Spezielle Paragraphen nur für Politiker, damit schmeißt ihr anderen Menschen, Antifas und Journalisten einfach wieder unter den Bus.

Ich sage es seit Jahren:

Der Ruf "härteren Strafen" ist stets wohlfeil, weil die erstmal nichts kosten.

Dass es in Deutschland in allen Kriminalitätsbereichen ein Vollzugsdefizit und keinen Mangel an möglichen Strafen (das StGB lässt den Gerichten da viel Spielraum) gibt, aber

"Strukturreformen bei den Sicherheitsbehörden und ausreichende personelle Ausstattung von Staatsanwaltschaften und Gerichten"

klingt halt nicht so kernig.

Kostet nämlich Geld & Arbeit

Ich denke, das ist die Stärke von modernen Sozialen Medien: Der Fokus auf Personen.

Übrigens: In der Liste fehlt etwas spezifisch Deutsches: Die erste Nachrichten-Website einer etablierten Offline-Institution überhaupt, war Spiegel-Online.

Das war auch ein Quantensprung in der Mediengeschichte.

Ich muss allerdings zugeben: Neben den Programmen (Papier ist ja geduldig - da kann man allerhand Schönes reinschreiben) sind mir auch die Personen sehr wichtig, und da habe ich besonders bei Volt meine Probleme.

Auf jeden Fall: Europa ist wichtig und diese Wahl besonders!

Es gibt keine 5%-Hürde bei der , also kann man hier durchaus kleinere Parteien wählen.

Trotz meiner hohen programmatischen Übereinstimmung mit ihr, kommt die Tierschutzpartei für mich nicht so ganz infrage. Die ist mir zu sehr auf ein Thema fixiert.

Das ist der Punkt.

Auch wirtschaftspolitisch stehen sie eher auf der Seite des Liberalismus. In Richtung "Soziales" ist da wohl wenig zu erwarten.

Interestingly, Friedrich Merz, head of the German Christian Democrats, believes that:

'The continental Europeans were not entirely blameless when it came to Brexit... We lost patience with the special role that Britain always played in European politics. We didn’t do enough to help them come to a different referendum result'!

Bittersweet for Remainers, but an indication that their/our own campaigning failings were compounded by complacency(?) in the EU about the referendum.

I think, you're right in your analysis.

However, neither the UK, nor the EU have ever had monolithic policies.

You can blame the EU for neoliberalism in the sense that it always favoured big corporations, but you can (from a neoliberal perspective) also blame it for being "socialist", as it enforces common standards and dedicates a lot of money into improving economic and social conditions in its poorer areas.

As for terminology: I use "neoliberalism" and "corporate-driven capitalism" synonymously.

"Neoliberalism" has nothing to do with actual liberalism. The "Chicago Boys" and Adam Smith had entirely different ideas about society and economy.

It's a fascinating topic, although I thought that this (the stark difference between neoliberalism and traditional liberalism and the role US think tanks played in the proliferation of their ideology) was already a commonly accepted fact in academia - at least in the "Youtube University"¹ it has been for many years.

I've never been able to spell "guarantee" correctly on the first try, and today I really looked at it to try to figure out why.

Which is when I realized that the opening "guar" sounds really close to "war" if you are someone who regularly says GUAO or GUËY.

Which is when I realized that a GUARANTEE is the SAME DAMN THING as a WARRANTY.

SAME. DAMN. WORD.

Fifty fucking years on this planet it took me to figure that out, ffs.

Der Punkt ist: Es sollten nie irgendwelche Probleme gelöst werden. Alle jemals genannten waren nie mehr als Vorwände.

Es geht immer einzig und alleine darum, Geflüchteten das Leben in Deutschland schwerer zu machen.

Die zusätzlich entstehenden Probleme werden von Konservativen schlicht in Kauf genommen, mit dem zusätzlichen "Vorteil", dass man diese dann später auch noch instrumentalisieren kann.
