@jaztrophysicist but you start with as seed field, right? Just compression from Bondi down to EH scale will already give you a dynamically significant field. So, maybe you don’t need that much extra? But it is certainly good, if a dynamo also helps!

If you are into Radio since a while, you might know the Bologna2 catalog of radio sources (B2) produced with the Northern Cross - the ancestor of radio surveys.

One of the key players was Roberto Fanti, who passed away last week 😢

The other key player was Carla Fanti (still alive, they were married).

Both are legends in Bologna, as they raised ~3 generations of radio astronomers. Also wrote this monumental manual (sadly, italian only: http://www.ira.inaf.it/Library/e-books/Fanti&Fanti-Papers.pdf)

@ZDF Finde es ja gut, das Theman was Kirchen bedeuten zu diskutieren, aber der Titel „Kirche abschaffen“ suggeriert ja, dass man das ernsthaft erwägen dürfte, obwohl Religions- und Versammlungsfreiheit ein elementares im Grundgesetz verbrieftes Menschenrecht ist. Würden wir auch „Meinungsfreiheit abschaffen“ diskutieren?

in this work, we explored the importance of the multiple re-acceleration by shocks in the intracluster medium, as a general mechanism to explain why many clusters of galaxies light up with radio emission in spite of the fact that the shocks
they contain are weak.

Anti-matter falls in a gravitational field just like normal matter!

While theory suggests it to be true, it is so important to see it actually confirmed in an experiment! (And it is so cool. they can make anti-matter atoms and control them…).

It is still a mystery why inertial mass, coming from quantum physics essentially, is the same as the gravitational mass in relativity - at least as long as we don’t have a theory of quantum gravity.

@knud Das war auch eine Zeit großer kultureller Entwicklung in der Universitäten, Hospize, Schulen und beeindruckende Kirchbauten entstanden sind (und in der oft nachhaltiger gelebt wurde als heute). @knud Ich habe mich ja bewusst nicht zum konkreten Fall geäußert, sondern darauf hingewiesen, dass a) das Bild des Mittelalters als rückständig und schrecklich nicht mehr passend ist und b) dass wir vorsichtig sein sollen uns zu sehr der 24/7 Mentalität zu verschreiben und c), dass Kirchen auch ein Kulturgut sind. Ich persönlich wäre nicht unbedingt gegen eine Öffnung, aber ganz so einfach ist es auch nicht.
