🥥 Well, Eye've been on this Mastodon part of the Fediverse for about a year and a week now and it's spoiled me.
Eye can't rustle up an once of interest in any other social medium.
Eye AM still looking to find anti-social media, though. 🥥 #Fediverse, #Fediversary, #Mastodon, #SocialMedia, #TuckersBalls
Happy first #Fediversary to me, it's been a very nice year here on Mastodon. All the diverse voices and perspectives are really super valuable, so thanks all for sharing.
I almost missed that yesterday was my #Fediversary! I’m so glad I found this community of artists of all types, community-engaged thinkers, and lots of magnificent weirdos. I’m managing to stay informed without triggering anxiety, which allows me to be more present for people and causes I care about. I’m finding joy in creating again, too!
Today marks the one year anniversary of DMV.community! I'm so glad I started this Mastodon instance. There have been many great conversations and I've met a lot of great people. It's been a learning experience for me, for sure, but I love it.
I'm grateful to everyone who has joined, participated, donated, and provided feedback. It's been great meeting you all, and I look forward to the upcoming year here!
My official #Mastoversary was in April. However, yesterday was the anniversary of when I joined the Urusai Instance.
In the year I've been on Urusai, I've went from about 300 to 1000 followers, which is still a third of what I had on Twitter. And yet, I'm finding myself having more likes, boosts, and real, genuine interactions now than I had over on the social media platform formally known as Twitter.
I don't miss it. I miss some of the people there, but not the platform.
I'm glad I made the switch to #Mastodon. And I'm glad for all the new folks I met here.
A year ago, I decided to give Mastodon a try and I've never looked back. I found fellow Twitter refugees and discovered amazing OG Fediverse accounts. Many of the folks I discovered in my local feed are still my favorite follows. Y'all are stuck with me now. ❤️
Around November last year is when I greatly reduced my use of Twitter and really started engaging on Fedi. I had an account on mstdn.social but ditched that for hachyderm.io, then made an account later on blorbo.social and then moved hachyderm account to blahaj.zone, and also moved blorbo.social to sakurajima.social (somewhere between all of that, I made a misskey.io account, which I still have, and I made a kbin.social account).
Anyway, just wanna say that I definitely enjoy my time here. It's unfortunate that some friends from Twitter have decided to go to other platforms (recently reached out to some and they have made a new home in bluesky), but moving always had these consequences. Made new friends, followed a lot of different people, built a cozy corner here.
So, this is my fediversary post (made up date because it's not quite when I made my first account).
Glad to have met everyone! I hope to see more growth and improvement in Fedi's various projects, especially in moderation tools and safety (both been and still is an important topic of conversation on here).
Some great characters, artists, cartoonists, photographers, and real people. And cats.
For me the experience is a very positive one, better than other parts of the webs. I look forward to checking my feed morning and night. Has helped me a lot this year.

Hey you folks celebrating your 1 year #Fediversary… Congratulations! 🎉
On your anniversary you may want to use it as a reminder to throw some cash at your instance admin because their work shouldn’t go unpaid. They make it possible for us to be here! Most have Patreon accounts. Just ask them if you don’t know where to direct your donation.
Breaking my Sunday socmed detox to celebrate my first #Fediversary today! Woot!
To those who made me feel welcome here on Mastodon, and to new friends I've met, giving you bear hugs! 🤗 You made the migration to this awesome place less scary and more exciting. Thank you!!! 🥰
Oh, look. Today is my one year #fediversary. A year hanging with you interesting, non-standard folks, without the ads, without the inscrutable algorithm. I like it. 🩷 @Gargron
One year ago, I decided to leave Twitter and start my own Mastodon instance for myself and a few friends.
I quickly started supporting the project on Patreon and joined the Discord, to see if I could help some people with scaling up their instances, as I was familiar with the stack and I know the drill.
A few weeks later, I was reworking the whole hosting for the project, then mastodon.online, and ultimately mastodon.social…
