Writer, walker, atheist, cinema lover, hobby musician, science junkie, perpetual maths student, cricket fan, chess patzer. I post about new music a LOT! #Music#NewMusic
Earliest music memories: listening to Radio Luxembourg on a small radio. Whiskey in the Jar by Thin Lizzy is the earliest song I recall loving. On TV I remember Killer Queen by Queen on ToTPs in UK.
First record I bought with my “own” money (it was saved pocket money) was A Day at The Races by Queen. I’d been bought singles (mostly by Slade) before that and got A Night at the Opera album for Christmas in 1975.
Post 2 of 2: I added 31 music releases to my library this week. Playlists below with a track from each of the releases (sorted alphabetically): Josie Wray & King Navassa, Lonely in the Rain & PEARL, Lyn Lapid & mxmtoon, Major Love, Orla Gartland, renforshort, Riley Pearce & Savannah Conley, Roe Kapara, Samia, SIØBHAN, Sunday (1994), The Daybreakers, The Howlers, The Warning, Veronica, and 16 in post 1.

First gig: Hawkwind, with Ginger Baker guesting on drums.
I won £30 on the UK National Lottery. The time between seeing the email to say you’ve won a prize and logging into the website to see if you are a millionaire never gets old!
James, Anna, Andy and Dan discuss speeding swallows, Swedish statues, staining glass and selling time. Visit https://www.nosuchthingasafish.com for news about live shows, merchandise and more episodes.
I don’t use Overcast due to it using its own URL shortener that takes you to the Overcast site when you share a podcast. Rather than a link to the original podcast source. Example:
I’m going to reboot my weekly digest. It’ll basically be a link blog post of things that interested me in the previous week. With some commentary if appropriate.
I’m not sure where I’m going to host it yet as I want it to be available as an email newsletter, RSS, and on the web. Maybe ButtonDown or Hey World for the former, and a duplicate post in my Wordpress blog for the latter.
