Today's @Kitty @derthomas theme is - the first song I remember hearing live.

The earliest memory of a concert happened when I was REALLY young. Like six, I think. It was a family event and The Coasters were there playing their biggest hits from twenty or thirty years ago.

They started with 'Poison Ivy' and I'm still a fan to this day. 😎

All three of the PLANET OF THE APES (Caesar trilogy) movies are currently on . If you haven't seen these, it's probably one of the most SOLID trilogies in film history. 👍

To round out my cast, I want to do some for one of the most important members of the , Storm. To say this is a coveted role is an understatement, but my pick carries the strength needed to take on the Goddess herself. My pick is Jodie Turner-Smith because after her performance in 'Queen and Slim' she's earned the right to run away with this one. She's has so much presence and would be dead on for Ororo. 😎

There is a very strong rumor that (if true) would be incredible for the fans of . The rumor is that is VERY pleased with the success of and are considering carrying this team into live-action in the .

If this is true, they would forgo the traditional origin story and give us the complete team introduced during the upcoming storyline. Personally, I think this is a GREAT idea. We don't need the origins of these beloved characters. To me, my X-men. 😎

Also, important history lesson, if you'll indulge me.

in 1996, Marvel filed for bankruptcy and the CEO at the time Ike Perlmutter (BOOO!!) sold off the right to all the most popular characters.

That's why all they had left to make movies out of was the Avengers. Worse than that, if Iron Man had flopped, those characters would now be owned by CHASE Manhattan Bank and there would never have even been an MCU. Huge gamble that paid off.

Yeah, but on the bad side they also fired the showrunner before this aired (inappropriate behavior, I think), so that's another hurdle.

The FOX Universe X-men were a mixed bag for most, that's why I'm excited to see Deadpool ROAST it in June. 😎

I love Mastodon but I do wish there were more active peeps here. Other sites seem so transactional. People want to friend me so they can tag me to advertise their own sites, or they want to know how I got ARCs and I tell them and then never hear from them again, Or they just want to complain about other book reviewers or publishers. Anyway if you see this it's probably because you are an awesome person! We need more awesome people here. @horror

As an old school fan, I was on cloud nine through most of this. Cyclops had an incredible monologue, Emma Frost got some fierce jabs in, Kurt was Kurt, Magneto continued to be brilliant. The episode was incredible overall, if not painful at the end. 🥰
