zu zweit: Imhotep Duell (2x B-Seite, 1x A-Seite); 3x 30 min, 1x gewonnen, 2x verloren.
So ein schönes, schnelles und unkompliziertes Spiel - gerade passend für einen Montag Abend.
In der 1. Partie das Bild vergessen, also noch eine. Danach stand es 1:1, da musste eine Entscheidung her - das hätte ich wohl besser gelassen, da Frau mich mit 33:44 eingeäschert hat. 😅 War trotzdem schön und ist schon mal für den Urlaub vorgemerkt. Seite B gefällt uns übrigens besser.

Deteilbild vom Hauptbrett(chen) etwas später im Spiel. Beide Spieler:innen haben je 3 Figuren in Reihe; schwarz ist am Zug. Weiß braucht dringend das 2er Grabplättchen, da das 1er ebenfalls in Reichweite ist und die helle Pyramide. Ein Plättchen nehmen zu können, ist gerade in Hinsicht auf das 1er-Plättchen ein wichtiger Bonus. Schwarz will bei den Obelisken aufholen und bei der dunklen Pyramide

@Fearteiler Man entscheidet sich für eine Seite und beide spielen die gleiche. Sie unterscheiden sich bei der Art und Weise, wie man Punkte macht. B ist etwas komplexer.
Bsp. A, Jeder Obelisk 1 VP (14 total), mehr davon = +6 vs. B: Erster mit 5 Obelisken 12 VP , 2. = 6.
So ist das bei allen 4 Punktemöglichkeiten.
Die Idee von @dnddeutsch die zufällig zu mischen finde ich charmant, müsste imho aber trotzdem für beide gleich sein für beie Spielenden.

Wir haben zum ersten Mal Karten gesleevt. Eigentlich will ich dieses Plastik nicht. Aber die Brass-Karten hatten es nach über 40 Partien nötig.

Bei uns fällt Terraforming Mars raus, weil wir es nur in der Gruppe haben, aber nicht selbst, dafür kommt Dune Imperium, Obsession und Grand Austria Hotel sowie die weiße Burg dazu. Von denen kommt jeden Monat mindestens eins, meistens mehrere auf den Tisch.
Wenn ich ausmisten müsste, könnte ich sofort 25 nennen, mit Schmerzen 50.

Gibt es eigentlich eine andere Bezeichnung für "alles auf den Tisch werfen, verrühren und wieder in Stapel sortieren" als "Oma-Mische"?
Denn Oma kann gut mischen und ich finde das etwas ... Unfair ihr gegenüber.
Und es gibt ja Spiele mit Plättchen die man anders gar nicht mischen kann. Dorfromantik/Karuba/...

@darkpact @synchron @brettspiele Wird wohl auch Wash genannt. Um aber ein zufälliges Ergebnis zu erzilen damit, muss man es für wenigstens eine Minute machen, während beim riffle 7x ausreichen soll(t)en.
Irgendein Mathematiker hat mal ausgerechnet, dass man beim Klassiker Überhandmischen 10.000 Durchgänge benötigen würde für ein zufälliges Deck. 😅

@Suzan Actually we wanted Brass Birmingham to be the last game of the year (last year it was second to Grand Austria Hotel), but all the early fireworks and noise was not good for concentration. So we decided to play it after everybody went home and played a couple rounds of Dart instead, so it became the first game of 2024 - our favorite game for hopefully our favorite year, something I might reveal in about 12 months. ;-)

@jansenspott & Melli haben es getan, ebenso @Suzan & @eerko und wir auch. Arche Nova am 24.12. Und eine weitere Gemeinsamkeit ist, dass die Herren verloren haben. 😅 In unserer -Partie 15: 23, also kein Geschenk für mich. Hat aber wieder Spaß gemacht. Im neuen Jahr schauen wir uns dann mal die Erweiterung an.

I had to do a repair job on this guy as I was painting him. Hopefully, once he's mixed in with the rest of the Goblins you won't be able to notice the odd looking bow.

@DrunkOnTea For me, as a non-painter, it's amazing. On Minute 8 I thought, okay, that`s looks great, before I realize, I didn't even reached the best parts for the next 25 minutes. I guess for someone, that just started, as my wife, it could be a little bit overwhelming, but still beeing a great inspiration.

@ofdiceandmen That's bad news or it might rather be your NEMESIS. Great game, which sadly I only once had the chance to play. Would like to have it in the shelf and onto the board, but for that price I buy 2-3 other great games - such a shame.

Tried a game of Mr President solo, and lost in the first year after a bad last quarter of scandal. Despite most of the world loving me, once Congress started my scandal investigations, they wanted nothing to do with me!

Excited to start the Isofarian Guard campaign with a friend today! We're going to try to tackle it an hour at a time on days where we both work from home. It's a beast to set up, but luckily setup/teardown is pretty easy.
