Watching a archived version of the original 1977 Star Wars. They forgot to animate the light saber at 1:28:58.

@philheppenstall Star Wars 4k77. Basically they digitized the original 1977 35mm film shown in theaters.

While I'm sure I saw it originally on VHS, I had forgotten what the "original" looked like.

For the most part, the effects hold up really well but I can see why Lucas wanted to fix a few things.

    Friends who use Macs!

    I’m replacing my wife's old (Intel, 2020) MBA with the newer M2 model. For work, she usually has Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams open; Chrome with lots of tabs; and either Zoom or Webex. All of these are running simultaneously. She is also using an external 4k monitor.

    Given the poor resource management of this particular set of apps (all of which she must use, this isn't by choice) this is one of those non-pro cases where 16 GB is actually called for, right?

    @mcnees If you have a lot of tabs open, you need 16 GB. 8GB is considered a poverty build now.

    @teachpaperless I have to wonder if he says stupid things to just have people talk about him. Much like the large investment firms doing outlandish claims about some company to stay in the news.
