Yeah, the state of audio things right now is fascinatingly weird. You can get better quality out of Apple Music using Sony hardware

I think I understand what happened here, but I’m not sure Apple really has any excuses, given that Sony’s got a huge lineup of Bluetooth audio equipment, including their own 24-bit / 96 kHz LDAC codec. Apple could’ve matched this years ago if they wanted

I have felt like a lot of generative LLM tools have shifted the responsibility of thoughtful editing to people who also don’t possess editing skills, which for a bunch of AI boosters simply augments the stature of their existing Dunning–Krugerisms 🙂‍↔️🫠

It’s just beguiling on its face, and then there’s all the awful labor practices behind and in front of AI slop. It’s horrendous.
