@ct_bergstrom in Melbourne it’s a tram, not light rail. It’s a crucial point of distinction between Melbourne and Sydney, and terribly important to be seen to be on the correct side of the nomenclature, lest you be accused of fraternising with the enemy.
@jonoabroad there is a group over here who go around letting the tyres down on tankers like that, with a flyer under the wiper saying “this car is helping to destroy the planet, also your tyres are flat” or words to that effect. my husband’s idea is just to put flyers explaining that the group is active in the area and why…

The public talks will mostly focus on something I've been thinking about lately, "The Crisis of Human Collective Decision-Making in a Social Media World".
I would like a label on books, especially romances, that says “the main protagonists in this book display emotionally intelligent and rational communication and conflict resolution styles most of the time “ or, more succinctly: “you are unlikely to need to throw this book through a window”
