Crazy morning. Had to take a car to amtrak this morning; there was an accident just before we got to the bridge which added ~45 minutes and I almost missed my 🚂 !

I was wearing my SF City FC scarf and my driver was very excited by it. We started chatting ⚽️, luckily he was from Oakland and knew all the shortcuts, so I got to the station about three minutes after the train and boarded it with a couple of minutes to spare!

this 91 year-old San Francisco driver wants pedestrians, bicycles, public transportation, AVs, and any paint that is not white or yellow off of his San Francisco streets. Letters: S.F. streets are for drivers and cars. Why everyone else needs to get out of the way

@luis_in_brief @kingrat @eniatitova I think the city should put all the tax receipts they receive into one account and then hold daily public meetings all year around so we can all tell them where we want our tax dollars spent.

My train is leaving 15 minutes late which is fine although a little irritating since it's the initiating station for the train (have to wait for a late connection) but as I was looking it up I noticed the southbound Coast Starlight yesterday was almost 12 hours late!

I both can't believe and am not at all surprised that SFMTA already caved to the drivers and merchants association in West Portal. San Francisco feels like the most pro car/anti-pedestrian and bike city.

They're making announcements at Jack London Amtrak station that there's a system wide delay (I don't think 🤞 my train is affected) that because of a stuck drawbridge, wondering where that would be. also this is the closest I've ever been to missing a train (other than the time we missed our stop and were carry-bys).

These gas pumps have more bollards protecting them than any bike lane in San Francisco. Semi-related, the first time my parents let me go get gas in our car by myself when I was 16 (manual transmission VW bus) I wanted to make sure I got close enough and drove up on the platform next to the pump and ripped the nozzle and hose off the pump.
