I started playing yesterday and hooo boy…

Of course most people already bitched about this being yet another reskin of FC3, but as this is my first FC game since 3, I have a different bone to pick.

FC6 is trying to be… political? But as this is a Ubisoft game they try extremely hard not to be political – i.e. be extremely biased towards neoliberalist capitalism without acknowledging that AT ALL.

@phryk anyway, i took the story at face value. there are enough angles to attack it from, but why expend that energy. compared to earlier farcry titles i enjoyed it more, though. there were bits that i liked. do the side missions, there are many gems in there.

@phryk i did not read that from the game at all. but if you read it hostile enough, sure. i don't want to laud what they did too much, but it annoyed me a lot less than previous titles.

der normdrünkel muss in rachweise gespreikt werden, dafür bedarf es einer dreihornigen bremmeldüse in A114 bauform

ein spreikwerkzeug kostet im handel 100 euro mehr als die dienste eines technikers der ein solches werkzeug bereits besitzt

It’s starting to really get to me in the UK how many people are furiously angry about the prospect of more solar on fields when many actual farmers are enthusing about how great mixed-use fields can be. (Solar can shade animals and plants. In many cases, it can also be combined with rainfall capture. It’s about making better use of some land, not replacing one thing with another.)

As a committed single-monitor dude (multi-monitor is terrible for your neck/back) using a dedicated monitor just for work not gaming, the LG DualUp really calls to me. 16:9 sucks as an orientation for coding, & rotated portrait? Ridiculous. But 16:18? 👌 One big area for coding, or for UE / video editing put a 16:9 viewport at the top and all your controls below: great!

Bit expensive though 😬 That's going on my wishlist for when I can justify it. Thanks @djlink

Wie Liberalos und Parteilinke bei jedem Gewinn für offen rechte Parteien mit dem Finger zeigen sich aber jedes Mal konsequent weigern, über die Probleme der Leute, die zu Protestwählern werden, Klartext zu reden oder Lösungen zu bieten wird auch echt nicht unterhaltsamer.

Wir dürfen ja nicht polemisieren, das ist ja kontraproduktiv.

@phryk ich glaube das ist so ne sache wo du denkst "wie schwer kann das sein" bis du dich wählen lässt, im amt sitzt, dir die sache genau anschaust und realisiert: "oha. deswegen geht das also nicht. mist."
