Das ist mir in ueber 25 Jahren Techblogging noch nicht passiert... ich hab das #AppleEvent verpasst 🙈
Dachte das faengt um 23 Uhr meiner Zeit an... tja, war dann doch ne Stunde frueher. Aber wisst ihr was? Mich regt es null mehr auf und ich geniesse es nun ganz stressfrei
@pallenberg Schande über mein Haupt, du schreibst es ja auch wunderbar auf :-). Stimme dir da voll und ganz zu bei deinen Ausführungen. Alles sehr solide und schlüssig was Apple macht. Mein iPad Pro ist nun fast 6 Jahre alt, mein M1 MacMini 4. Ersteres werde ich kommendes Jahr dann ziemlich sicher gegen ein aktuelles Pro tauschen, der MacMini tut's noch, der PC kann ja beim Videoschnitt übernehmen.
@pallenberg Einzig die Events selbst, auch, wenn perfekt produziert, sind mir zu polished, zu viel "amazing", "the best we have ever" bla bla... Und ein neues iPad plötzlich nur noch mit den neueren Pencils kompatibel zu machen produziert halt Tonnen von Elektroschrott; nicht so doll für das "ach so grüne Apple" image, das sie sich andichten möchten. Aber es ist wie immer: Überall wo's Licht gibt, gibt es auch Schatten.
@phranck dass sie meinen älteren Vertrag auf die neue (nachteilige) Gebührenstruktur umstellten. Und wer Bestandskunden nicht schätzt bekommt halt meine Kohle nicht.
@phranck also es ist nicht viel. Aber ja, Smart Energy ist eine Spur günstiger. Aber bei den stündlich wechselnden Gebühren kochen sie alle nur mit Wasser, groß ist die Einsparung da nicht. Smart Energy hat aber wenigstens eine passable App um den Verbrauch bzw. die reinen Energiekosten im Blick zu haben, wenn auch mit 1-2 Tagen Verspätung.
@ivory quick question: I'm following a few hashtags which works fine; but it's displaying any language of posts, so e.g. for CES2024 that brings up tons of posts in languages I don't want to see. Is there any way to only display posts in say German and English? Or is this rather a Mastodon than Ivory thing? Not sure...
@ivory In Mastodons settings (on the website) I've limited the displayed langagues to the aforementeiond two but seems this doesn't apply for followed hashtags...
@Tattooed_mummy Good! I'm glad you do know as often people assume EVs catch fire more frequently than ICE cars. It's not really a re-combustion though; it's a chain reaction within the battery that either starts the whole fire or CAN happen if the car is on fire for some other reason than the battery. But IF the battery is on fire can easily be determined by fire fighters (temp/smoke/type of fire) if they're proper trained, to my knowledge.
