In my attempt to wean myself of cloud music services, I've been delving through the game OST list I have, and a relatively recent addition really hit it out of the park.
A fun mix of cyberpunk Ghost in the Shell influences with a dubstep beats, on top of definite NIN and Mick Gordon Quake and DOOM FPS roots:
REVEL - Sprawl OST
It's a bit outside of my usual tastes, but it is very fun and I think it matches the game to a T.
It's baffling to me that most people are willing to suffer all the craptitude that runs by default on Android. I had to skip and disable at least a dozen services and apps immediately after the first run setup. It's gross and I don't like it.
@mariusor Sorry, I wasn't trying to convince you, just ranting.
As said, I love Sailfish, and wouldn't seriously consider switching to Android, even though some important apps don't run on Sailfish (my bank's online banking, the Austrian e-governance apps,...).
I've already decided to rather do that stuff offline than to suffer Android.
@soulsource I could find my bank's application in the Aptoide store, but due to the run environment not being "secure" it means that I need to do the full 2FA authorization for every time I want to run it, which is not entirely worth it, so I default to the browser also. :D
The enshittification of cloud offers for music has me slowly digging up from the basement the media I accumulated over time and the pipeline to sync it to the various devices I own.
I keep forgetting how many Belgians are assholes towards Matthieu Van Der Poel, he got beer thrown at him again and the boos are almost drowning the cheers. Sigh.
Improved the webfinger handler for the #GoActivityPub reference implementation to support finding https:// resources alongside acct: double @ ones used by the larger fediverse.
I'm not sure how I was able to commute and ride centuries on a 50x15 fixie for more than 5 years. Just took it out for a 15Km loop and in the wind I had my socks knocked off.
Well, after about a week I was able to do 50Km, around 33Km/h. On the same route with the gravel bike I usually manage a measly ~30Km/h. I get a 10% improvement due to thin tires. Who knew? :D
I wonder what I can achieve if I change the gearing to a more manageable 50/17 where I can get into the 80-90 rpm range more frequently.
