Wiped my stupid apple watch because it kept telling me I'm out of space every single time a notification came in. It had multiple GBs of music on even though I had music syncing switched off.

Should just throw it in the bin tbh

@robb I love the watch but think that Apple needs to give it the equivalent of the 'PC-free' moment that it gave the iPhone with iOS 5. Battery power and integration with other devices are both good enough that it can stand on its own, without limping along with its dependence on iPhone connectivity. Give us better management interfaces on the watch (or even through the Finder or iCloud in browsers) and greater power to tinker with it. Apple tries to hide too much from users to make it magical.

A decade after Apple released Pages 5 (replacing the ‘09 version that came with the earlier iWork suite), the company has finally reintroduced the ability to highlight non-contiguous text with the Command key, which I used constantly before it was excluded from the app. To be clear, this means highlighting text that is not next to each other and could be spread throughout a document.

I'm baffled as to why such a helpful feature took 10 years to return, but here we are.

While I'm at it, for the latest episode of @hemisphericviews (098), while editing it in Ferrite I tried to make the chapter names in the show notes weird, yet decipherable. @jason is our show notes master and I like to think that I can annoy and delight him simultaneously (whenever it's my turn to edit).

Australia just voted ‘No’ to enshrining an Indigenous Voice to Parliament and acknowledgement of First Nations in its Constitution. This is one of the most disappointing days in our history; it shows the lack of nuance, compassion and understanding in our country’s political discourse. What an embarrassment on the world stage.
