Hearing historical records from baseball’s negro leagues are finally incorporated into MLB stats really makes me want to stream an all-sports talk radio station from some rural town today just to hear the mental gymnastics the hosts will go through to say why it’s somehow bad while also trying not to sound totally racist to listeners.

Remember on Tuesday how Biden said it was preposterous that Israel is accused of committing war crimes? On Sunday Israel bombed a refugee camp they ordered everyone to move to which removes all doubt.

This is a war crime and it is fucked up nothing will come of it. Netanyahu will continue his genocide plans until there’s no one left. It’s totally fucked that the US continues to send money and bombs to this leader.

We passed an anti-price gouging law in Portland years ago that is simple and brilliant.

Every store inside the airport must sell items at the same price they’d be in a normal store inside city limits.

It’s a bit of a shock when you buy a bottle of water there for $2, then on your return trip it’s $8 somewhere else.

Every airport in every city should have this law.

@jztusk I don’t know why the person mentioned a 8% CA tax when the price is 300% more. It’s a distraction from the main point.

I think it’s a great use of government resources. I’m love that Portland uses government control over things like predatory price fixing of a captive audience that can’t shop elsewhere. I thought I was clear enough in my text.

Also, could you help make mastodon a nicer place and maybe not be so judgmental of strangers here?

There no way I can’t sound like an asshole telling this story but in February of 2015 I was in SF starting to work at Slack and mentioned to Adam Savage I was in town so he invited me to hang out on the Mythbusters set then we went out to dinner at Tartine and while we’re ordering there’s a ruckus in the kitchen and we see Morgan Spurlock with a film crew shooting a spot for Amex or something. They’d never met so Morgan asked me to take a photo of him with Adam for his Instagram. RIP!

I’m in Orlando and I need to travel 1.4 miles to a stadium from my hotel and step 1 is to walk 0.9 miles to a bus stop, then take the bus the final 0.5 miles.

Anyone had a real world comparison of the Sonos Beam vs Sonos Arc soundbars? If I can get away with just the Arc soundbar that might be worth it if the Beam “needs” a couple of rear speakers?

@ichris I’ve had both connected to a system without rears (with a Sub). Sound is tons better on the Arc vs Beam but the Arc doesn’t sound surround-y like my movie setup in another room with an arc, two Sonos ones as rears and two Subs
