My laptop's sound driver, among many others, has this absolutely infuriating behavior where it puts the sound card to sleep after a particular amount of silence (mine's seemingly after 5 seconds), causing a screen reader user to miss the beginning of speech, an audio file, a notification, or anything else they may be trying to listen to. To solve this, I wrote this little program. Simply run it, and it'll start piping silent audio through your default sound card, which has fixed it on every machine I've tried. It should also respect device changes (e.g. unplugging headphones). To close it, simply click on the tray icon. It doesn't get much simpler than that. https://quinbox.xyz/files/SleepSoundly.zip

meowpet,

@TheQuinbox gross, that's like dealing with bluetooth headsets with shite tired bluetooth drivers. It's stupid the lengths cars won't go, providing a very sucky sucky speaker system. So much latency, and a constant 5.0 GHZ, sometimes 2.4ghz buz, either way annoying none the more, or less. The fact this is on windows, and on laptops, and even on modern windows is stupid. Screw the lengths modern computer manufacturers go to, apparently, minimize usage, when in reality, a lot of these modern PC's have stupid audiodrivers that hold sounds back, lagging the CPU in the process. A 13th gen core i7 1360p is plagued with this clasic modern shite. Just one, of the reasons why I hate modern windows.

So I finally found ways to make AI covers. What’s the best way to share the cringe and the awesome alike? I don’t want to keep these just for myself.

meowpet,

@evilcookies98 have you heard of kits.ai? It's an awesome thing to do it with. RVC is so much fun to play with. I use it locally only because apple silicon is powerful enough to run it, but sometimes I use kits because it's faster. Although I've not paid for kits, I used it a lot in the beta, and idk how good the website is now accessibilitywise. I used it on mobile though and it worked.
