Thinking about making a split keyboard. I don't really have the skills to design one so I'll just get something from online, but I think they're really cool nonetheless.

Anyone have any recommendations of designs?

First 3D printer. Reasonably experienced with using them, but haven't had one up until now.

Did the glue stick trick...worked well, at least for what it was intended to do. But when it came to cleaning up the bed...not so fun. I spent about 45 minutes scrubbing with a sponge and isopropyl alcohol. It barely did anything and kept evaporating.

It turns out you're meant to remove that kind of glue with water...

Tried it, came off almost instantly. Stupid.

Been meaning to receive signals from weather sattelites, so I bought a HackRF and an appropriate yagi. However, I now realise...the yagi has a a receive power of 25db, and the HackRF is only rated for 5db. So I need an attenuator.

I'm quite new to RF, but attenuators just involve a setup of resistors, right? So would making a variable one be as simple as just incorporating a potentiometer? or is it a little more complicated than that

Been compulsively checking package for days...found this morning that it was in Melbourne. Came home...autocomplete URL for the tracking page. Oh look! it's been delivered! Look outside...no package.

Went down to the post office. Then home and back again to get ID. They tell me it's been signed. Go home and ask around to see if this is true. Nope. Back to the post office... Then I realise that the autocompleted URL was for a previous package that arrived 11 days ago. Didn't tell the person at the desk...

I'm thinking of starting a project soon that needs a niche of communication which LoRa fits perfectly. However, I'm still a little confused about the regulations around the standard.

I know The Things Network implements duty cycle restrictions. I won't be using the network - but is there also regulations on the band as a whole? I'm in Australia, so it's the 915-928mhz range.

looking at youtube comments of a beau miles video and I now come to the realisation that 'bang for buck' and 'schmick' are terms not very well known outside of australia. Weird.

it would be really nice if laptops with backlit keyboards also had backlit touchpads. Especially for thinkpads - I find it a little difficult to locate the middle click button in the dark.

Found this on aliexpress...I know it's incredibly likely to be a scam, you can literally see the change in grain of the card around the text when you switch between different filetypes, but...I'm just curious. The reviews are mostly confused saying it's authentic, but with the occasional one saying that it gives errors around filesize...hmmmmm. I think you know what I'm thinking.

But even if it's fake...I kinda want it. Just for the sake of curiousity.
