When I left Twitter, I worried that it would impact my ability to make a living.
That worry was unfounded.
Would I be doing better if I was still on Twitter? Perhaps. But looking at my #ryoms visitors on Kickstarter, it's clear that the fedi is a more than adequate replacement.
oooh, another Kickstarter lesson learned. Pledges have slowed--except they haven't, not exactly.
The stretch goal ebook freebies are also available as add-on items. As stretch goals are met, people are going into their pledges and removing add-on copies.
@mwl I'm not the audience for this campaign, as exemplified by my first thought when I read your post which was that it feels like it costs $10k to run your own mail server. 😅
