Great news coming from Germany: today, the Bundestag adopted the gender self-determination law, which will allow trans people to change their gender on their official papers with a simple declaration at the civil registry. Gone are the medical requirements. 🏳️‍⚧️

The law isn't perfect (a 3-month delay is to be observed before the change takes effect; minors will have to go through a dispute in court if their parents oppose the change), but it's still a huge step forward.

In France, trans people still need the approval of a judge in court to officially change their gender. While in theory it's illegal for them to ask for proof of medical treatment, many judges still make it a requirement. Not only that, but they also still often base their decision solely on the physical appearance of the applicants.

For years, I've managed my windows using multiple virtual desktops on the Mac.

But after hearing about @siracusa's wild window management techniques, I decided to embark on a week-long challenge: attempting to manage my macOS windows all in a single virtual desktop.

Not only did it go a lot smoother than I anticipated, but I also learned about a couple of useful Mac tips in the process.

    Here's a tip for Apple Music on macOS:

    You know how you can click the cover of the currently playing track at the top of the window to open the MiniPlayer? By default, this automatically closes the main window of the app, and you have to close the MiniPlayer to bring it back.

    However, if you ⌥+Click the cover, this will bring up the MiniPlayer and keep the main window open. 💡

    Demoing the tip: option+click the cover art of the currently playing track to open the MiniPlayer and keep the main window open.
