Holy moly, Oslo has a fantastic public library. Beautiful building inside, lots of places to sit and read or work and a huge music collection as well as games
Going to sit and appreciate the miracle that is now.
Guess you get a lot for your taxes here huh...

On Saturday we visit one of our local bakeries and pick up a bag of leftover bread and cakes.
This week we got our from the local co-op. All this for 19 kr (about 2.5 Euros)!

Too good to go has become a Danish institution. Reduce food waste, pick up some goodies, good for the planet, maybe not so good for my waistline!

Went out for a morning ride to see the damage from Friday's floods, the mist cleared as I crossed over to Amager, glorious light.

A sauna and steam bath is essential to surviving the winter here. Today we visited in - a charming 120 year old Turkish bath and hamam, run mostly by a voluntary committee with support from kommune

Mountain biking in the beech forest - the trees are still green even though we're past mid-October now.
Still warmish but cooling down and the winds of were starting to blast the forest.

So privileged to be able to access this forest by local train...

Last of the summer peonies.
I look forward to peony season every year. And they have been wonderful again this year but weeks of drought means they were very soon over this year compared to others. This is the last to open.

Precarious.
This set installation in fascinates me. I can't understand how they manage to keep it upright - it has only a very tiny corner on the ground.
At the same time it strikes me as a rather too pertinent metaphor for the + system
