So, I got a text last night from my kid’s girlfriend. It said “Hello!” and I replied “Hey, how are you?” She asked if we could FaceTime. I replied “Sure!” and called her. They moved in together recently and neither have lived with a partner before. He went to a bbq with friends and was supposed to come home and make dinner. She was waiting and he called to say he was staying longer. She was crying. We talked for an hour. A secret hour.😂

    My started doing a madness and randomly, the kept tripping and I was like WTF? So I kept trying to figure out what was happening and by process of elimination, worked out its something to do with the downstairs .

    Everyday, it was becoming more and more frequent and I was getting more and more frustrated and stressed.

    Fast forward to yesterday and I ordered a socket checker ASAP from Amazon, only to find out the lead I plug into the plug next to my bed has no and I sleep every night with a charger plugged into that extension on the edge of my bed.

    Anyway, by today it was tripping every couple hours and I'm at the point where I had to start opening up the sockets to figure out why it was tripping, only to find that one in the dining study had rusted.

    Why is that interesting? Because a few weeks back, I kept saying how I had mad levels of static electricity. Related? Probably. Now, some people may say I'm being dramatic, but there's at least two different final destination deaths there.

    So it turns out there was moisture in a socket and the tripping was the house trying to warn me. What a pullava! The good news though, is that I consolidated a load of plugs. The bad news is all this cut into my budget for other stuff.

    OMG, have added this change in where it only shows the domain in the address bar now and I hate it! I genuinely need the rest of the information. I selfhost, so I often need to see the protocol and/or port to see why things aren't working.

    The issue here is not whether Meta has done this deliberately or has a genuine bug on their hands. It's that Meta has become a such choke-point for journalistic media that they can arbitrarily block public access to information, whether intentionally or not.

    😂 just looked at my stats on my and saw 80% disk usage. Almost had a heart attack. Then I started looking around, other than some inflated lib directory, turns out all the files I kept deleting as a super user were just sitting there still. Had to delete them manually and freed up 20GB 🥴
