Help us test PassKeys! We just merged our PassKey support to our next release branch. You can grab a snapshot build and test it out now. We already released support in our browser extension.

Test now: https://snapshot.keepassxc.org/latest/

Ich möchte für die Artikelserie »Custom-ROM« noch /e/ und GrapheneOS testen. Mittlerweile ist /e/ zwar für das Google Pixel 6a (bluejay) verfügbar - allerdings ist das Build unvollständig. Es fehlt unter anderem das boot.img und dtbo.img. Seufz. 🙄

    Okay I guess tags is what I am looking for, but boy do the instructions of the manual sound complicated..."Simple and predictable behavior, river should be easy to use and have a low cognitive load.

    @samurro@fosstodon.org avatar

    @lhp Well I'll try once I understood how they work. But from my perspective, why does workspace management have to complicated? esp. if your goal is to provide a simple to use

    samurro,
    @samurro@fosstodon.org avatar

    @lhp Thank you I will check it out. The bit part about the tags was one thing which irked me, but I need to really check it out.

    samurro,
    @samurro@fosstodon.org avatar

    @lhp So I finally had time to check https://github.com/riverwm/river/wiki/How-tags-work
    But I still struggle to understand how to actually setup tags and view them for my configuration. Why are there no code examples under

    samurro,
    @samurro@fosstodon.org avatar

    @lhp Also the terminology in the example is unclear. If I don't misunderstand you are referring to setting a tag when "switch to tag 2" is mentioned?
    If thats not the case, than I don't even understand the example part.

    samurro,
    @samurro@fosstodon.org avatar

    @lhp After reading the last two sentences over and over, I guess I didn't understand how the tagging system works to begin with. Because it says "Compiling succeeds, so you toggle tag 2 and only your editor remains on the screen." Thats the opposite of what I understood toggling would do. So I am really clueless still about

    Sorry but that seems very salty.

    samurro,
    @samurro@fosstodon.org avatar

    @torsten @sandro totally agree, but his reasoning on why he uses instead of as a platform is sound to me. Also has its place for sure, but maybe not as averagejoes desktop system. Btw in the post there is a very similar mention of . So its not strictly against or anything...

    samurro,
    @samurro@fosstodon.org avatar

    @sandro @torsten did you actually read the lemmy post? Because you ignored bullet point 0. of OP.

    Also "tinkering" is a wide definition. I never borked my system to have it rescued through "ISO means". I think he is referring to simple and basic changes which in turn cause the whole system to be redeployed?

    Why don't you bring benchmarks of your own to the table which shows "compareable" results between and any other distro in terms of battery life, ram/cpu usage?
