@irace@mgs Bryan, from the About page. Maybe you can find a tag that will get you what you’re after?
“You can follow along with everything on Threads or Xitter or via RSS. If you're interested in certain topics, those are segmented by #tags – and each has their own page as well as RSS feed. (For example, here's the feed for posts about Apple.)”
As you can see, you're only addressing the tags as #labels following a post, whilst most folks tend to #hashtag their #articles inline as they type out their posts.
Having a facility to integrate those two methods is of great benefit and note that in my example not all #tags are duplicates between the two methods of presenting them.
My #filemanagement method using 🏷️ is so much more than just a fine solution for #photomanagement. You'll see that it actually addresses many aspects of working with local files in general:
I joined mastodon today because the CEO of #tumblr had a complete meltdown recently when people called him out for deleting a trans woman's blog because she posted a transition timeline. The vibes were definitely off, just doesn't feel like a safe place right now. I'd love to follow more #trans and #queer folks on here! This is my second social media account (third if you count myspace. omg should I go back to myspace??) so I need all the help I can get with navigating this place.
@asaflowerblossoms I searched for #tags that interested me and searched for accounts some people I already followed might have - then extended who I follow from their reposts
If you want your fediverse posts to be seen by more people interested in their subjects, or you want to find and talk to more people interested in the subjects you post about, hashtags are your friend. You can add them after the body of your posts, or #hashtag words in the post itself.
In certain situations, a large number of tags in the controlled vocabulary are not a bad thing at all if you still limit the number of tags for each file/entity in general.
Ugh. All those @'s and #tags in your comment look so gross. If you’re going to post to Lemmy forums, at least have the decency to not talk like a microblogger
The #AppleScript dictionary in #NeoFinder has been expanded to give you read and write access to the #Finder#Tags (aka Finder keywords) and the color labels of NeoFinder.
This Custom Guide Creation App was also built in SwiftUI and SwiftData.
⭐️ It's also free with the book "SwiftData Mastery in SwiftUI".
I had the idea for this app because I'm a gamer and in some games, I create a bunch of guides to follow. (Not all games have quests!)
With this app, I can create multiple guides for multiple games with multiple steps!
If you are part of our TestFlight Beta, we pushed update 1.8.1 which features completely revamped polls and a few other things. Give it a shot and let us know your thoughts!
No new TestFlight openings, but we are working hard to get this release finished and out to everyone!
*Note about TestFlight Subs: TestFlight doesn't read your app store sub and so you must subscribe in TestFlight if it asks. No real money is transferred as it's just a test environment.

And I thought I could document the development process here.
I've wanted to explore the idea of a non-hierarchical file manager for a long time and this is the result, Hyperplane.
The idea is that you organize files by tags (or categories or whatever name I end up with) instead of folders while still being able to access them from a traditional file manager.
You can test it now if you want, details in the README:
I love the design choice of Threads to hide the # symbol in #tags. It’s really nice to not see posts junked up continuously with a symbol that is mostly unnecessary.
They just color the text differently and it works great.
Now, I would assume there need to be accessibility considerations as well to make sure everyone will know what is a tag and what isn’t. But wow does the Don feel noisy by comparison (on this one factor).
