Hmm I wonder if this will go anywhere. Isn’t it similar to what a graphics card does? Calculating specific instructions in an efficient way? But where does it stop being a CPU? When it only supports specific languages?

Idk I think RISC might be the future more than this. 99% less power consumption is only going to make the neural nets a bit better because they need an exponential increase in processing power for linear gains.

what do you have in mind? Jabber/XMPP is very similar.

It runs on any old raspberry pi in your house, can be used by family and friends as well. Has iOS and Android apps… I have had good experiences with the easy to set up snikket.org XMPP server.

Unfortunately the feddit.de server has been broken for quite a while and we have trouble contacting the admin.

Die Karte fand ich echt interessant, gerade in Bezug auf die aktuellen Diskussionen um PV auf Äckern oder Windkraft. Schön sieht man, wie viel mehr Platz Energiepflanzen brauchen und dass Golfplätze oder Weihnachtsbaumanbau mehr Fläche verbrauchen als PV fand ich auch interessant....

Theoretisch mag das ja auch alles stimmen. Ich glaube auch nicht, dass Atomkraft besonders gefaehrlich ist und die Technik ist total interessant und cool.

Aber in der echten Welt fuehrt das glaube ich nicht zu besonders guten Ergebnissen. Hat zumindest die Vergangenheit gezeigt m.M.n.
