we don't talk enough about how awful it is when you get up from your television program and think it'll be like fifteen seconds so you don't pause it and then it takes longer to do what you got up for so when you come back you think oh let me rewind because I don't want to have missed something and then you rewind your program and nothing of note happened over that time frame so well maybe you did not have to do that rewinding hmm?

I can’t overstate how having a really good, ergonomic argument parser in the standard lib keeps Python at the top of my “I need to write a somewhat complicated system script” list. Like it’s to the point I will put up with boto3 just to not fight some overwrought “CLI application framework” library.
