Okay y'all I need some DIY help: I bought a new toilet paper holder, but need to drill new holes in it. Problem is this metal doesn't seem at all phased by my metal drill bits (bosch) and even snapped a smaller bit I have.

Any ideas? It's literally 1-2mm thick metal:

    @darnell @dansup yeah, basically they rely on that to figure out if they should federate — i.e., they don't want to federate with bad actors.

    I started down this road because I asked about seeing a full activity log on my own server instance. And it turns out you just can't.

    My goal is to make it easy to stand up two separate mastodon instances on my laptop. Then I can get them to talk to reach other and observe what is actually happening. I think that'll teach me a lot

    @jrconlin @polotek it has defaults; iirc, you can always tell it to use a different database on redis by adding a "/5", for instance, to the redis URL

    @jenniferplusplus @polotek @konnorrogers there's also other issues here: I could send you an activity that when you try to fetch, the DNS for the hostname in the ID points to an internal service (e.g., picking a private IP), now I can probe your internal network to some degree & potentially DOS an internal service on your network by spamming you activities from the outside.

    Same reason all webhooks go through this module too!

    Have been heavily working with Adonis.js for the past two weeks & pretty thoroughly enjoying it.

    Some stuff is a little idiosyncratic to me, but overall I'm able to move really fast with it.

    I'm also surprised at how quickly I've managed to get up to speed with Terraform + Kubernetes/Helm

    I'm gonna put this down to all of @norbert's hard work setting up our infrastructure over the past few months. 12/10, would wanna work together again!

    @ajkelkar yes, used Nestjs heavily. Adonis is better now they've simplified the IoC stuff.

    Though admittedly we were doing graphql on neat.ja and not using a whole load of the features.

    @ivory for some reason my theme randomly changes from the pink I've set it to, back to red (default), any ideas why?

    @ivory I don't have that on. And I also don't see that setting anymore? It looks like that setting doesn't exist on Mac, but I have Ivory on my phone as well, and it's disabled there.
