@aardrian I've tried this in current Chrome. There is no flicker. There's a delay before the search marks the results on the page. And if the details got opened, it stays opened.

Where do you see potential confusion for blind users?

maybe a bit of context: in my use case I would like to use this for a collapse menu thing on small screens (eg. mobile) not as a dropdown like in the example

To be honest, I had already suspected that there was a reason why nobody was doing the mobile menu like this.

On the other hand in my use case the classic approach to add css classes on click is propably worse.

Hey folks. What's the best approach for making api calls to an external domain which requires auth by cookie?
Currently I do a local fetch to /api/... and use the handle server hook to make another fetch to the actual api. While this works it feels kind of hacky and doesn't work well in case of an error response.
