McKinsey is champing at the bit to use generative AI as an excuse to make money recommending layoffs. Notably, its report barely mentions using generative AI in media.

Many of Apple’s breakthrough hardware products were preceeded by an Apple failure in the same space.

Mac has Lisa.
iPhone has Newton.
MacBook has Macintosh Portable.

iPod is the biggest exception.
