Today I got to tell my students that in the bad old days we used to write scripts that just SSHed into every machine and ran sed on config files but today we had puppet and I regret to inform you that based on their facial expressions we apparently still write scripts that just SSH into every machine and run sed on config files
Good news! My eyes are recovering and it sounds like oral steroids should prevent any recurrence. Also my retina specialist wants to see me again due to it being "an interesting case", so well done me.
@withoutclass That is i3bar and that is a part of I3 Window Manager...on the right bunch of plain old Bash script producing output on the bar. Minimal and useful. :)
@withoutclass I have no frigging clue what the heck Hyperland is and importantly, i have been stuck with I3 window Manager for the past 7 years exclusively. I haven't had the time to experiment with flashy stuff which I never bother to use. Because I3 proved to be good enough for my trivial workflow.
As I mentioned, I have written some rudimentary bash script to echo out the output on the I3 bar ...not sure that the stuff mentioned can bind with time-proven and tested stuff it.
