A Wyoming hunter who reportedly ran over a gray wolf with a snowmobile, taped the creature’s mouth shut, took a picture with it inside a local bar and then shot it to death behind the tavern has ignited calls for stiffer penalties in such an egregious case of animal abuse....
I mean, hiding in a tree, disguising your scent, scoping a dumb animal and shooting it with a rifle from a hundred yards away isn't exactly a fair fight either. I agree there is a difference, I think there is just a lot of mythmaking about what is effectively using all of the gifts of civilization in order to trick a sub toddler intelligence deer that it's not about to be murdered.
True, which is why I wonder why people imagine it as a sportsmanly or honorable activity when it is basically tricking a toddler with a good sense of smell into not looking while you shoot them.
What do you do when you have prepared for nothing but peace and someone else brings war? That's what the idiom means: you don't prepare for war because you want it, you prepare for war because war literally never happens when you would like except when you are the one invading. If you want peace, you have to be prepared to defend yourself against people who do not desire or understand peace.
Please don't continue to beat this dead horse. What made Mass Effect great was Drew Karpyshyn's ideas and world building, a solid cast of characters, along with a lot of superb visual design. Mass Effect had such an interesting, detailed, lived-in universe. The quality of writing in the games after the first is perfectly proportional to the amount of Drew Karpyshyn's involvement, and it sharply declines after the first. A fifth game made purely out of a corporate desire for profit and not to tell a story is unlikely to yield better results, in my mind - see Mass Effect: Andromeda for evidence on that.
I just hope the next season gets away from the shonen battle tropes and million disposable characters they've introduced to focus on the chill nostalgic travel vibes again.

No thank you, the VII remake feels like they are making the rest of the game in the next room. "No, you can't do the next part, you have to collect flowers for orphans and have a motorcycle chase." Constantly buying time with stupid crap.
The original was well paced and fun, they would undoubtedly fuck it up and have Tetsuya Nomura write it.
