I was expecting something more like R Mutt but this was also really informative. This is exactly the kind of red tape that looks bad and ends up being bad, and is then held up as an example for why we shouldn't have any red tape anywhere, ever.

I don't know if 16 counts as young man, but at that point in my life I did like my vehicle loud. I thought it was cool. By 20, it was embarrassing. I had an exhaust rust off about 10 years ago and couldn't get it fixed for a couple months. I definitely didn't feel cool then 😬 Thr silence after the repair was awesome!

I'm disappointed that this still exists, but sexism certainly still does so maybe I shouldn't be. I just took a class today on high conflict personalities; now I'm not sure how great this response would be but yesterday I would have thought it was great. Maybe some questions just don't need a response. I feel mixed.

Here is an article from The Guardian that is about a similar topic but may not touch on all the issued. It isn't a long read and may not cover as much as an hour show.

It says 122 max, I think that year is if the last boomer lives as long as the oldest person ever did.

This actually makes "sense," my last stick is blue, better get the blue box!

I always thought he was basically living it up, happy to still be a Prince. I assumed fewer responsibilities, but perhaps the pay was terrible haha.

opponents say it’s a violation of owners’ privacy

How disingenuous. Every state I have lived in has property owners as public record. While I believe there are reasons to be anonymous, being obnoxiously rich isn't one of them.

Not exactly ziploc, but there is Tizip. But as others have said, a properly designed pocket won't have an issue. Maybe you will need to close the zipper on it during an absolute deluge.

I really think that, if we are to get this to work, we must start with the ranchers as well. I live on one of those 'more cows than people' areas, and I don't think any rancher is going to hang up that income opportunity until they have a viable alternative. Some of them have already diversified to meet ends, but I think most have not.

Sturgill Simpson uses a fair amount of vulgar language, but his music frequently has a better message. Sometimes hidden meanings, etc.

I don't know if this is unpopular or not, but I really don't like hearing about folks' medical history. Like yes, I know you have anxiety/diabetes/whatever because you tell me every single time I see you. I, too, have a condition that requires me to take multiple pills everyday for my whole life, but you'd never know it bc I don't make it my identity. I'd rather not, and I'd rather not others who aren't facing death do it. On some cases I guess it speaks to the status of mental health care in my country since it almost seems like a cry for help that I just cannot answer.

This is the kind of attitude that caused Ruby Ridge to happen.

To me, this is just like advertisements at a fuel station. How are we being given ads or having our info sold on a product we pay for?

Well then some labor, like working in certain music industries, is also Skrillex labor.

I use c̅ for with and s̅ for without, these may make more sense for you depending on your native tongue. They are medical shorthand.

I came here expecting to share about my ears, but will come away expecting to shave my bum 🤔

I think this is just endemic to colleges that don't have a plan for move out. I worked at a high school that was in a college town at the time this was filmed. We would take HS students dumpster diving during move out and get all kinds of stuff for proper donation. This wasn't some fancy school, just a state school. The college kids have exams, and then have a day or two to move out of dorms. It's too much to handle for a 19 yo with poor parents who are making the trip to the school to get them, possible missing work. So - they throw everything away.

Smaller in general would be, also! Not just narrower. I don't want a skyscraper

Turns out the US Secretary of Energy is the devil when promoting EVs (www.npr.org)

Her advance team realized there weren’t going to be enough plugs to go around. One of the station’s four chargers was broken, and others were occupied. So an Energy Department staffer tried parking a nonelectric vehicle by one of those working chargers to reserve a spot for the approaching secretary of energy....

While it is frustrating that this person did this, I do not think this is a fair take. The secretary certainly didn't do this action.

Also, the article is about so much more than what you make it out to be.

If you really want a long lasting machine, listen to this person. So much nose in this thread. For example: Subarus, in fact, do not have reputation for being long lasting without major repairs. Most people do not keep a vehicle for 10+ years nor for 300k miles. I have a vehicle that is older than that with 30% more miles. As said above, an anecdote.

Somebody keeps track of the cost of ownership over time. Perhaps a company, maybe a government agency.

Good luck!
