Ok I think I fixed it. I want Amtrak to overperform, not me...

I work in trails, like what you might walk on, and in the rare case I need pi, I use 3.14. This week, we have a meeting to talk about some things on 14 March. I will be using cornbread because I do not know how to make a pie but I will eat the pie others make. I look forward to this meeting.

Well my laptop does not stand up to this haha. It reminded me of 2002...

Thanks for sharing! So glad they had a tiny desk.

From what I have read, this person has been blowing the whistle for multiple years. Something changed, recently. Not good. Not cool. It is sad.

I both agree with you and disagree. I agree that having a long term plan (beyond one year) would be amazing, but I disagree that essential things will always be paid. That is actually true, you are right, but the problem is that these other things that are, essentially, essential, will become nonessential. They just do not get done. And both the "customers" and the employees are expected to deal with it. It is a public-private pipeline. I hate it. For openness, I am a federal employee.

I guess I can understand what you are saying. I have lived out of my vehicle off and on for about ten years, and having a full tine, good "chopping" knife that I can sharpen with what I might use on a shovel is really nice. I have had the same maine knife for 15 years. It is ok. I don't have to work on it much. It says "Chicago Cutlery" on it. It has been put up wet, been used in snow, and I have no money invested in it. It works great.

I also worked in a kitchen once, with really nice knives, it isn't that nice. But it was cheap. Full tine, and not that weird serrated but not serrated.

It seems you may have the problem "fixed" but this machine was, I think, a 2008 or so Kia. Optima? I am in the US. I looked it up, and in markets that I think Dacia would be in, it may be Magentis. There were many unpleasant sounds when this car arrived...

Anyway, it is pretty hard to bend the input shaft. Even this catastrophic failure did not do that. It destroyed the flywheel (which was expensive) and that was the big financial challenge for the owner (who was Brazilian). They did not like the price of that part, it was half of the total cost. My information was just to add to the discussion. The car left with new part and was fine.

I hope you can get on your way!

Well it is funny you say math teacher, my elderly mother was that, but went to school in the 90s to get a degree. This is probably where I remember this from. Maybe not a thing now. She can definitely math haha. She could teach folks to multiply and divide in abnormal ways, trying to meet their learning needs.

This is interesting. I last rode the Southwest Chief in 2018, last minute, no problem. It was empty, ish, until somewhere in Missouri. A lot of commuters in Illinois. I had an empty seat next to me until about that time. I guess it is different now. I got on in Albuquerque.
