Another vintage deck rescued from oblivion. This time it's the absolutely rock solid top of the range NAD 6155 from the late . This was the one I wanted when I was 17, but I had to settle for the lowly 6220. I loved that thing ❤️

This is an order of magnitude better. Massive flywheel, huge dynamic range and the uncluttered industrial design that is one of the reasons I love NAD gear. First appearance of Play Trim that improves playback of pre-recorded cassettes.

She's a keeper.

@coldclimate It's a bit special. I can see why NAD said it was the best they'd ever made at the time. Only the two and three head Monitor units that came after might be considered better for recording. I doubt that playback could be improved much.
