Stocked up on my galactic goodies last night before leaving from the cart at the lobby.

@cstephens2 God,I hate you so much. 😁 So. Much. Envy. And I live only 45min away from the resort. Sob.

Do you go to Napa Rose much? We stay at the Grand Californian too & I stay at the hotel for convenient access to that restaurant alone - never mind the park! 🤣 Love it more than Carthay Circle, The Plaza, Docking Bay 7...

@kurtsh 45 minutes isn't that far! And since the goodies are in the Grand Californian lobby cart, you don't even need admission or a reservation.

Yeah, Napa Rose is one of our favorites. Been going since they first opened though we don't end up going as often as we used to. Always chasing mushroom cappuccino! I do miss the old chef's table, though. They've changed how they do that.

@cstephens2 My challenge is my wife who doesn't enjoy our excursions to the park as much as my son & I do despite our proximity.

Re: "one of our favorites"
What other restaurants are in your top 5 at DLR?

@kurtsh Ahh, yeah, that can throw a kink in it.

Unfortunately, many of my favorite restaurants at the resort aren't there anymore. My absolute favorite was Catal Restaurant, with the adjacent Uva Bar, in Downtown Disney. They closed a little over a year ago, and the new restaurants are about to open, so I'm looking forward to trying them.

I was also a huge fan of Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel, for their breakfast & dinner, and especially their classic afternoon tea.

I do like Carthay.

@cstephens2 I'm a creature of habit and go to the same places over and over but have been expanding my horizons recently by making a bucket list of other places I want to eat at:

PLACES I STILL NEED TO TRY:
✅ Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar (DL Hotel)
✅ Lamplight Lounge (Pixar Pier, DCA)
✅ Tiana's Palace (Fantasyland, DLR)
✅ GCH Craftsman Bar (GCH)
✅ Golden Horseshoe (Frontierland, DLR)

@kurtsh Trader Sam's is kind of kitschy. I'm not a fan of Lamplight, either the food or the setup. I love Tiana's but it can be limiting for some because there's a lot of spicy stuff. Craftsman Bar is essentially the same as the Grill, except it's table service. Golden Horseshoe is the same as Stage Door, I think.

@kurtsh With the various celebrations and food festivals, there are also often new things to try at familiar places or at dedicated food kiosks. Right now, there's stuff for Season of the Force, with a few more things added as of May 4, and shortly, all the PixarFest stuff will be added too.
