For everyone complaining about the Fulton County case appeal, let me just say that our #Georgia Court of Appeals has incredibly smart, hard-working, and serious judges. They are good and decent folks by and large. So cool it on your hot takes and conspiracy theories there.
FWIW I have a narrower view than most (incl Judge McAfee I think) about what can/can’t proceed during pretrial appeal (& I think I’m right). If I am, nothing really gonna happen in Fulton Superior (unless someone wants to plea) for over a yr

In theory, some part of the case might proceed while parties wait for Ct of Appeals to rule.
But bc parties can now raise every issue considered under OCGA 5-6-34(d) going to be very hard for case to be tried this yr

Please consider stopping to blame victims like Fani Willis for the crap that Republicans like Judge McAfee and the Georgia supreme court are doing to protect Trump.
It wasn’t intended to be offensive. Partly 2nd tornado watch in 3 days, lack of sleep, getting kid’s “can’t live without it stuff” into the storm shelter since they aren’t here to help, lawnmower repairman expected soon.
@GottaLaff Unfortunately it seems the one thing Trump is good at is playing the legal system. While he definitely should stand trial, I think it the cards were stacked against him actually having to stand trial before the election.
Our only way of keeping a fascist out of the White House is to not elect a fascist to the White House. Apparently the rule of law no longer exists for anything but us peasants.

Anna Bower on Alex Wagner just now: this only affects the defendants that joined the appeal. Not all did. Frex John Eastman has stated he wants to be tried ASAP.
