Reuters review of TX property records shows SpaceX & its contractors can be far slower to pay builders, suppliers than they are to break ground. Unpaid bills, finger-pting among contractors have led many construction-industry businesses to file liens against SpaceX properties in efforts to get compensated.
1/... The only hot take I've seen is from Joyce Vance saying this would push the trial past the election. That seems pretty rational to me.
But hopefully, the outcome will be ok

For everyone complaining about the Fulton County case appeal, let me just say that our #Georgia Court of Appeals has incredibly smart, hard-working, and serious judges. They are good and decent folks by and large. So cool it on your hot takes and conspiracy theories there.
It wasn’t intended to be offensive. Partly 2nd tornado watch in 3 days, lack of sleep, getting kid’s “can’t live without it stuff” into the storm shelter since they aren’t here to help, lawnmower repairman expected soon.
Truth. My parents are already gone and I told my son “no resuscitation and no dialysis”. I also told him cremation or some other cheap way for disposal of my remains. There is no point in spending a bunch of money on a funeral when there are better ways to use it.
Rain for the third day in a row. My Great Pyrenees did something she has never done before. She stopped at the porch door, looked at the rain coming down, turned around and walked back to the door. I took her out under the carport instead.
When I came back for my little guy who doesn’t do rain, he was completely buried under his blanket hoping I couldn’t see him. 🙄😀😄😂
Yarn people, textile people : I have found these amazing works. The woman who made them has died, and she never explained what her technique was. Embroidery? Crochet? Can any of you suggest one? Right and wrong sides shown #YarnCraft#TextileCraft#crafting#crochet#embroidery#textile
discovering that fewer cybertrucks have been sold than Sinclair C5s has amused me greatly. and honestly, if you want to drive a weird vehicle, the C5 is far more fun.
So I looked up polynomial. (sigh) It looks illogical. Yeah, yeah, I know. The mathematician in the family lectured me for 15 minutes about the logic of math before I finally waved a white flag but I still consider the various types of math illogical.
“I try my best to prevent all that alarm, anger, frustration etc. from overtaking common sense enough that I don't jump to conclusions, make premature judgments, throw cold water over process/outcomes before they ever happen.”
That takes a lot of mental and emotional strength. A lot of us, that would include me, are not that strong.
Most people getting EBT cards do work and they usually work at low paying jobs like Walmart or fast food places, or factory or maintenance jobs.
But even if they don’t, we should be feeding hungry kids. Republicans all over the country have been rejecting programs like this. Democratic governors create and expand them.
“The US Postal Service filed a notice with its regulators to increase prices on First-Class “Forever” stamps to 73 cents from 68 cents, marking yet another price hike for the financially beleaguered federal agency.
If approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission, the change would take effect in July, raising the cost of mailing services products by nearly 8%.”
If it’s available wherever you are, something to keep in mind when you’re feeling down and can find it, is the Elton John and Bernie Taupin Gershwin Prize show. Truly uplifting and brightening your day as so many of Elton John and Bernie Taupin’s songs are.
After I discovered someone knocked off their side mirror after they hit the mailbox overnight I put it on top of the mailbox in case the owner wants it back. The little guy has now decided to protect his yard, driveway, and home from any and all inanimate object invaders no matter where they may lurk.
Roomba just said “error 15”. Obviously an effect of the solar eclipse which is caused by Darth Vader’s death star which is desperately trying to escape Luke Skywalker. …Right? 🙄
“A doctor at a field hospital for detained Palestinians at Israel’s Sde Teiman army base has described “deplorable conditions” and “routine” amputations due to handcuff injuries, according to an exclusive report from the newspaper Haaretz.”
