Dense Front Door
A few years ago I purchased a fire-rated Therma Tru door. It was full of concrete and amazing at blocking noise. I moved and want one at my new house, but they don’t seem to make them any more. Their fire rated doors now have some light weight foam core....

Is it redundant to open a window when we have an air-to-air heat exchange system?
I've moved into a place with one of these systems and it seems to have a lot of benefits. But I prefer to open a window every day and get fresh air in. Doesn't that cancel out the advantages of the heat exchange system?
Looking for recommendations for a reliable dehumidifier.
(I searched before posting and this seemed the most appropriate magazine, but let me know if there's a more specific community you think would fit better!)...

These are original non-metalic cables located in our crawlspace. They're stapled to the main beams, and all look pretty warn near where the staples are....
