I'm back, seeking another #kdrama recommendation! Your last recommendations were great and I have many of them bookmarked for the next time I want those specific vibes.
This time, though, I'm seeking a drama I can binge watch tomorrow while I'm alone in the house (for once). I'm in the mood for romance but not with teenagers, minimal cheese/cringe factor, and some good chemistry between the leads. I have access to Netflix, Disney, and all tiers of Viki.
A Time Called You and See You In My 19th Life are off limits for me rn, I'm mostly through King the Land but again it's off limits rn, and I'm dropping Backstreet Rookie after 3 episodes.
I think what I really want are the vibes of A Good Day to be a Dog, which I've watched through ep 3, but in a binge-able drama that isn't too cringe! Help pls...
@hobiis Bossam. It has a bit of everything—mystery, drama, humour, etc.—and I wouldn’t call it a romance per se but it does have some romantic subplots. And it’s definitely between adults!
@hobiis I dropped Backstreet Rookie at the second episode 😁.
I'm again suggesting Reply 1988 if you want good lol scenes and romance. He Is Psychometric is a fun #kdrama too and not cheesy.
You could also try I Am Not A Robot, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, though in this last one the fighting scene are definitely cringe. The romance keeps you hooked.

For kdrama, a recent one is King The Land (chemistry, minimal angst, doesn't take itself too seriously)
For cdrama Legend of Zhouhua for a history-mystery and an interesting arc for both the lead characters
(Legend of Zhouhua then led me to The Story of Ming Lan a slow-burn slice of life 73 ep drama)

@hobiis My Lovely Liar was a recent romance that had a lot of fun elements. Hometown Cha Cha Cha and Legend of the Blue Sea were also good. Thanks for the recommendation for Descendants of the Sun from #kdrama fans out there. Starting right out with action and romance and what looks like it will be an interesting story. My request was for an evenly balanced romance, not a "Cinderella Story".
@EllenInEdmonton Descendants of the Sun was the first kdrama I watched after coming into the kdrama fold! I'd already seen Coffee Prince a few years before, so it wasn't my first-ever, but I have sooo much affection for DotS. (I also love finding out when actors get married after starring in a drama together! These two have since divorced but I still always wonder what kind of emotional connection two lead actors can build.)
