I’ve not yet decided on how I’m going to monetise this yet. I’m leaning towards a commercial product but may release the source code if it can be funded via donations (like an in-app tip jar kinda thing).

I’d like to add features that will require ongoing costs like push notifications, which will require a server running so I need to figure out how this can be possible.

At the moment, privacy policy will be exactly the same as the instance you login to as it connects directly. I’m not collecting any analytical data but that may change if I opt to go for a self-hosted analytics solution.

LMAO i’m just seeing all this mess. Too funny. Sorry I inadvertently made people think some shady shit is going on with your app. I genuinely am interested in trying it out and am still getting used to Lemmy. Sorry for causing confusion everybody 😅 (unfortunately I doubt the other commenters will see this). I just want to support this platform as much as possible and I think particularly key to that at the moment is supporting third party app developers. The more the merrier! The app ecosystem can make or break the platform imo and so far it’s very impressive what the community has been coming up with.
