Hello from lemmy UK. So I came here after recent api changes having used RIF for about 10 years. However finding that I hadn't realise how incrementally shite reddit had gotten over the years. This feels so much like old school discussion forums. Feeling excited for the future and will be staying here.
I've noticed that every post I have looked at in the last 3 days has had exactly 1 downvote. Even if it was a really basic post that doesn't warrant judgement in any meaningful way.
Imagine complaining about which interface people choose to interact with the same content pool with. That's like the main reason the fediverse has exploded in popularity over these last few weeks. Sheesh.
I'd bet more likely the meme formatted is associated with "thing you already have and should invest energy into vs thing you take an interest in despite it being not as good"
I'm a Lemmy user and I'm okay with Kbin getting the majority of users, as long as we're able to federate with each other it doesn't really matter where the new people go
Speaking of that, we (lemmy peeps) are going to be able to subscribe/see kbin magazines soon, right? I know we can subscribe, but we can't search them and when we bring them up specifically by @URL in my lemmy instance, they show up as empty for me.
