I once had a dream about this recording of Buddy Emmons and Lenny Breau doing “Compared to what”, in which:
- the third break extended into a 5 minute jam
- the sound guy was blinded by light reflecting off the pedal steel (unconscious brain says: “that’s what cool looks like”), and
- the glass window of the sound booth shattered from the force of the jam
I think it was pretty fitting
