@MudMan Yes. I hate multi-columns. Too noisy, I get dizzy and anxious.

@rolle Heh. I find single column to be stressful like that, as it keeps scrolling past. With more columns you can see what's happening in neat, tidy, less hectic chunks. Brains are weird and squishy and different.

I don't mind the aesthetics either way, so I've stuck with default, but I'm happy there are options for all those squishy brains.

Right side is focused on reading consumption.

Left is for active users.

Right is for passive users.

That's how I judge it.

@narF I've used it and contributed code to it but I prefer the one and only Mastodon web UI any day over it. I don't like to use a separate web app and it has some things I prefer doing my own way.

@narF In short:

1. If you are an admin you can enable it in two ways, either Custom CSS or with custom Mastodon instance
2. As user you need to use an instance that has it enabled OR you can use a browser extension that can enable custom styles
