Question Time Brexit Special: "We haven't started Brexit yet, when is it gonna start?"

Seven years and this man still doesn't comprehend that he has been lied to.

He has been sold the story that the EU was keeping the UK back, like you hold a rottweiler by the leash.

The only information you need to judge the magnitude of the success of Brexit is the opening line of the lady hosting the show: "We were unable to get any government minister to come on the program."

If you know a thing about politics or about work environment you know what that means.

That was the whole point of the show. Fiona (the presenter) made this quite clear in the introduction. It was a broad cross section of political voters (Labour / Conservative) as is always the case with Question Time but they all voted to leave in 2016. The show was a special to see how their opinion had changed if at all.

Yes, I watched it, 70/20/10 blabla, I got it. Is it an excuse? All I see is the BBC not voicing the opinion of the remainers. You can make a public made of 100% of remainers, and ask them if they have changed their opinion, why not? Right?

Mate, they have opinions of remainers on every Question Time and have done for years what are you talking about? This was a special one off version of the show to guage how well Brexitiers think it has gone on the anniversary of the vote. It would be a pretty short show of they did they same thing for remainers.

That sounds fine in principle, however I would wager that most people wouldn't turn around and admit that they inflicted harm on the country by voting for Brexit on national TV

Well... there were plenty of people that sai they voted to leave. Although they admitted the Brexit we're in now wasn't what they had imagined.

I'm also not sure many would care. And I don't mean that to sound like they're selfish. A not insignificant number of people voted for Brexit as a means of punching the establishment in the mouth, the same establishment that had so obviously failed them in recent decades.

They were ignored and poor before, now they're still poor but at least they've been listened to.

Of couse I am interested in the show. I followed the brexit campaign very closely.

I'm fascinated by the fact that the BBC dare to broadcast a question time without any remainer. That's very eloquent.

I already told you in the previous post:

Remainers are people and people can change their mind.

There is no conspiracy, the BBC has lost its prestige a long time ago.

I genuinely couldn't believe some of what was said on that special. There were some people that geniunely appeared to be deluded. In particular, the Brexit Party panel member who appeared to want to have a hard border between Ireland and Northern Ireland.
