What is the best way to install Lemmy apps?

With all the Lemmy apps (especially Jerboa) on the way, I was wondering what the best installation method is to get the latest updates regularly (I'm on Android).

• Play Store, if available?
• Pulling the apks from GitHub (too much effort for me, actually).
• F-Droid or some other repo?

I'm not very familiar with the subject, would appreciate any pointers.
