There's been a push to clean-up #Berlin's trains for the summer tourist season. Of course because real solutions are not on the table, what they've done is put one group of unwanted bodies at the various rail stations to keep away a different group of unwanted bodies (the junkies who'd normally sit here).
Pushing the addicts out of the train stations has the entirely predictable consequence of spreading them through the quarters.
I live in his part of town and have had to deal with more needles than I care for. It gives strong “Amsterdam in the 80s” vibes (though the people back then weren’t nearly as stupid).
