#Ukraine will receive three #HIMARS mobile rocket systems from #US stocks with #Germany footing the bill, German Defense Minister Boris #Pistorius said Thursday.
“Time was of the essence,” Pistorius told reporters. “So we offered to take over, pay for and deliver three systems from US army stocks.”
"Chancellor Olaf Scholz is putting Germans and all Europeans in danger. His current policy seriously risks defeat in Ukraine, which would embolden Moscow and raise the likelihood of a wider war with Russia..."
German Defense Minister Pistorius on conversations with generals intercepted by the Russians:
“The reason why it was still possible to record a telephone conversation among the ranks of the Air Force lies in an individual error… Not all participants followed the procedure of secure call.
According to reports, the data leak occurred on a participant from Singapore, who was connected via an unauthorized connection, i.e. effectively via an open connection" #AureFreePress#News#press#headline
Now that everyone knows that it is not necessary to employ #German military personnel to enable #Ukraine's armed forces to use #HIMARS system, #BackbencherChancelor#OlafScholz should sit down on the bench and keep his misgivings, which are not shared by a majority of Germans or even his coalition government,to himself.
The longer this war drags on, the HIGHER the likelihood...

On Tuesday morning, Russian media announced the deployment, to #Ukraine, of Russian forces’ latest high-tech counterbattery radar. A few hours later in southern Ukraine, the Ukrainians blew it up ... with artillery rockets.

This is ATACMS missile and is basically a Solid Fuel rocket propulsion system.
The Missiles ascend post-launch using GPS for course adjustment; their fins move per visuals, directed by inertial navigation or military-grade GPS to hit designated targets; upon impact, the sensor triggers a 500-pound TNT blast, capable of bunker destruction.
Interestingly they can be operated from both platforms the #HIMARS or the track version #M270MLRS.
Several Telegram channels and media reported that on October 29, “while preparing to move, the 1st Battalion of the 1251st Motorized Rifle Regiment came under fire from #HIMARS missiles.” It is also specified that mobilized residents of #Chuvashia serve in this regiment.

The U.S. authorities are finalizing a decision to send Ukraine long-range cluster munition rockets to be fired by #HIMARS systems.
That's according to Dan Rice, the former special advisor to Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces Valeriy #Zaluzhnyi, who currently holds the position of American University Kyiv's President.
